It was still sore and tired from the day before but at one point I couldn't even hold up the bar in round 4 and dumped it on a single rep that I couldn't complete. It sucked because I was killing the WOD and then round 4 squats took probably 8min alone. That sucked. By the end my thumb was totally numb which hasn't happened in a while. I thought it was only my thumb until I got home and took a shower and realised it was my entire right arm. You would think that one would notice a numb arm but it took water hitting it for me to realise. It was super weird. The stupid thing stayed numb for a large portion of the day and even today still felt a little odd in the shower.

15 medicine ball cleans (16#)

Ten rounds + cleans + 5 sit ups


The cleans were tough. My legs were sore and I was really focusing on getting the deadlift every time and not squating into each clean. I think that slowed me down a little but with the last round where I just flew through and my technique was crap I realised that I was really glad that I focused more on technique for the entire thing.


And I mostly got my muscle up back. I got up and over but didn't fully complete the dip because (a) I was scared of hitting my head on the bar and (b) because my arms were too damn tired :)

I got three rounds in plus the fourth run and KB swings in 40min

Light my ass. That is one nasty WOD. I would have liked to have finished it but it wasn't really do able in the situation and it was probably a good thing for my hands that I didn't do another 60 pull ups. I did get on little sort-of rip and a blood blister under another blister. Awesome (said with sarcasm). The second 800m run was the worst and I contemplated stopping and walking so I was really proud of myself that I didn't. After that the running wasn't too bad. I stuggled a bit more with pull ups today than I usually do but that was largely because my hands still aren't fully healed.

It has now been three hours since the WOD and I am starting to stiffen up BIG TIME!

This one wasn't exactly what I expected (which is a good thing I suppose). My upper body just kept giving out on me. Well, I tried to stop each time before I actually gave out which means I likely could have pushed for a few more each time. After the first round I broke up the SDHP into 3s and the pull ups into 4 and then 2s and 3s. I am still rather sore from the cert but I imagine it probably would have gone down similarly regardless.

It took a really long time to figure out this weight. I think maybe if I would have had a better idea of what weight I wanted to use then I may have been able to do a tiny bit more but by the time I was into my working sets I was already getting tired. My wrists hurt like a bugger and I kept forgetting to blink during the sets so when I was done the 5 reps I would thrown own the bar, keel over in wrist pain and be kind of blind. Not too good for survival.

This was really tough. I am not very good at dumbbell work so I guess that means I need more practice. Rx'd was 35# but I couldn't push press it in warm up so I went with the 30#. I got a pretty sweet bruise on my left shoulder too. Perhaps I should try to not throw the dumbbells into my body.


Worked on butterfly pull ups a little. They are definitely coming along!

I was one of the last to finish but it was the lunges that slowed me down the most. The weight was a little heavy but since I decided on it in the beginning and made the entire length I wanted to keep the weight even though I had to stop and rest. SPARK was pretty nice but still no CFS.

Learned that pasta for dinner + marble slab = bad WOD and felt like crap. My head just wasn't in it and that felt terrible. The burpees were a major struggle.
