So since the paleo challenge ended i have been finding it harder to stay on track.  Our wedding is about a month away and i really need to get it together…so i figured that if I start a food log i'll be a little bit more accountable with my diet. I'm trying to follow a paleo lifestyle as much as possible but will be a little more lenient than I was during the challenge.  I will be including some dairy and things like vinegar or small amounts of soy sauce or other seasoning will be allowed in moderation as will alcohol. ( I do have my stagette to go to :)    So the plan is to record my diet for a month and see how it goes.  If anyone has comment or ideas feel free to reply.

Breakfast

2 Carrot Cake Paleo Cookies (almond and coconut flour, pecans, coconut, carrots, eggs, pineapple,  baking soda/ powder, salt and coconut sugar sunflower seeds and flax)

coffee with cream

Lunch

greek style goat milk yougurt with strawberries and banana (no time this morning to pack a real lunch)


Snack#1

about one cup of fruit from the fruit tray at work

Snack #2

3 sesame sunflower seed paleo crackers


Supper

9 Scallops 1 bell pepper 1/2 red onion 2 med tomatoes sauteed in butter and garlic with a little bit of olive oil and some savory


Walked the dog to the Broadway Cafe, resisted the cafe chestnut, and had a tea instead LaughLaughLaugh

We were leaving for Edmonton and needed to grab something on the road I ordered a BLT salad at the drive thru @ Wendy's thinking the chicken is grilled turns out that it is a deep fried breaded one so basically i had a chicken burger with no bun :(

Saturday Feb 13


Continental Breakfast at the hotel

Eggs (I think from a carton, didn't taste all that good but it was some protein)

Veggies ( did include snap peas and green beans)

Glass of red wine

Cool  I finally managed to pack a breakfast and lunch for tomorrow, so hopefully i can get away from all of the eating out I've been doing lately.  I find one of my biggest challenges is that some days I eat all my meals away from home, and finding the time to buy groceries and prepare food isn't always there. Usually its a toss up between getting extra sleep or making meals. Luckily I have some healthy options at work so that helps, but i actually like cooking, so if i keep my life more organized so that i have the time to cook, things seems to run a bit more smoothly. 

So I think that one of my goals for next week will be to make more of my meals at home.

Didn't  really ear supper cause i was watching the Olympics, and then I wasn't really hungry enough to eat a real meal so I grazed…

So i haven't really succeeded in eating at home more  there were too many things on the go this week,  and i really enjoy eating out so It's hard to say no

ditto on decreasing my fruit intake  although there isn't much left for fruit in the the house so if i buy more veggies than fruit next time i get groceries that will help  I'm not going to beat myself up over fruit though…there are much worse things that i could be eating….

but then again if our olympic athletes  can eat at McDonalds and stay in such great shape your average crossfitter can too right…right????Wink
